Analysis and design of a third order system
Abstract
In this paper the analysis of the feedback loop used to control the phase of the transmitters in a centralized communication system by means of a remote phase monitor is presented. The control loop is designed in such a way that the frequency offsets, which might develop over periods of several months, will introduce no phase errors. Further, the closed-loop stability of the system is considered, and necessary and sufficient conditions are derived.
