Features of the relationship between the spatial-temporal behavior of pulsations of decreasing period with magnetic activity
Abstract
A statistical analysis of 312 cases of observations of pulsations of decreasing period (PDPs) at the Lovozero and Borok observatories during 1971-1975 was carried out. When the region of PDP observation is shifted to lower latitudes, a shift of the PDP frequency range toward higher frequencies and an increase in the frequency growth rate are observed. The diurnal variation of the frequency of PDP occurrence is found to depend both on magnetic activity and on the latitude of the observation point. The maximum of the diurnal variation is shifted to earlier hours of local time when there is an increase in magnetic activity or the latitude of the observation time, revealing the same tendencies as the behavior of the projection onto the earth of the spiral injection boundary.
