Heat transfer and shear stress in boundary layer of turbulized flow
Abstract
The shear stress and heat transfer of turbulent air flow are calculated by means of a turbulence characteristics transfer equation, for the case of a flat plate and a round cylinder, under subcritical regimes involving turbulent viscosity, shear stress and a certain scale function. The present results are compared with those of different models and with experimental measurements. In light of analysis results, an approximate method is proposed for shear stress and heat transfer calculations.
