MACOMNET - M/A-COM's corporate communications network
Abstract
MACOMNET is a private communications network which provides broadband communications (voice, data, video, facsimile, and electronic mail) between five major M/A-COM locations. The flexibility of MACOMNET permits easy expansion of the system to include various levels of information conferencing at each of the service nodes as well as easy expansion of the networks as more and more facilities are connected into the system. This paper provides a functional description of MACOMNET and gives consideration to the antenna, the frequency converter, the baseband equipment, and the teleconference room.
