Interference suppression techniques for microwave antennas and transmitters
Abstract
The objective of this work is to present techniques that will enable systems engineers and designers to meet EMC specifications and standards for high-power microwave systems. The areas examined are antenna and site treatments, and transmitter techniques. Particular attention is given to the use of radar absorbing materials on parabolic reflectors, fences, corrugated horns, the Dielguide, the tunnel antenna, horn-reflector combinations, and the use of arrays for sidelobe suppression. The modification of pillbox antennas for low sidelobe levels, the dielectric rod waveguide array, and the effects of emission spectrum measurement errors are also discussed.
