An investigation of the dislocation density of a wave front in light fields having a speckle structure
Abstract
The results of experiments carried out to determine the way in which the dislocation density depends on the angular divergence, the shape of the angular spectrum, and the extent of spatial modulation are presented. It is considered impossible to rotate with precision, a wave front in a field having a dislocation with the aid of curved adaptive mirrors. To rotate a wave front with a mirror, the surface of the constant phase of the light field must coincide with the surface of the mirror. The mirror must not be continuously curved in such a way that it repeats the shape of the wave front near the dislocation.
