Study of the process of destruction of fibroconcrete slabs under a static load simulating the action of a motor vehicle's wheel on a bridge
Abstract
As part of a study of the feasibility of using fibroconcrete in bridge construction, the process of destruction of quadratic fibroconcrete slabs supported freely around their circumference and reinforced with scattered steel fibers was investigated. The static load was distributed to simulate the effect of a vehicle's wheel on a bridge. Fibroconcrete was shown to be capable of withstanding significant loads and is recommended for use in bridge construction. The bases for its suitability are formulated mathematically.
