Impedance calculation model for long, low and high frequency groundings
Abstract
A mathematical model for the calculation of the harmonic ground impedance of a rectilinear cable buried horizontally is presented. Frequencies from continuous wave to several MHz can be handled. The cable is represented by a line of uniformly distributed loads, characterized by a conductance and a linear self inductance. Model predictions compare well with measurements from a shock wave generator analyzed by Fourier transformation.
