Dimensionless equation of state for condensed media: Numerical results for shock heating and for flow deflection by an oblique stationary shock
Abstract
A dimensionless equation of state formulation causes the solutions to a few standard problems in shock hydrodynamics to be somewhat more general than usual. Calculated results are given for shock heating and for the important problem of flow deflection by an oblique shock. The results are useful on occasion because they can be applied without having to resort to extensive calculations for each application.
