Maintenance friendliness of radar systems: Criteria for development and acceptance
Abstract
The criteria and realization steps of the development phases of a radar system which are required to obtain maintenance friendliness, are explained. In a generally complicated decision process the requirements of the maintenance study are weighed against other requirements and a raster of construction elements is determined. Using the maintenance study results, it can be decided in which form the test information can be used for test signals and simulations. With the help of the transponder the characteristics of the test signals are accurately known in most cases.
