Automatic determination of nonlinear distortions in television transmission with energy dispersal signals
Abstract
An energy dispersal signal to be added to FM television signal in order to reduce stationary interference components in neighboring channels is proposed. The signal is composed of a triangular voltage, the polarity of which is reversed in a given period, providing reproducible measurements corresponding to the image quality, even with test line measuring signals. In these conditions it is possible to use automatic distortion systems, adjusting to optimum image quality.
