Random placement of receiving and transmitting points in a coherent multipositional radar system
Abstract
The random disposition of both receiving and transmitting points in a coherent multipositional radar system is analyzed. It is shown that the required sidelobe level of the spatial autocorrelation function regarding distance and direction in radar systems having a multiplicity of transmitting points can be achieved with a total number of transmitting and receiving points that is appreciably lower than in systems operating only for reception.
