The noise immunity of a typical channel for the detection of signals with fluctuating amplitudes
Abstract
Expressions are obtained for the noise immunity of a typical channel (such as that used in radar) consisting of a single resonance circuit serving as the filter-preselector, a square-law detector, and a nonswitching RC circuit. The detection characteristics of the channel for signals with fluctuating amplitude are calculated, and the error of the proposed approximation is assessed.
