Traveling-wave-resonator slot antenna
Abstract
A theoretical study shows that traveling-wave resonators can be used to construct high-q resonance slot antennas, which are mechanically or electrically tunable. These slot antennas appear to be promising as feeds for short-focus reflector and lens antennas and for use in antenna systems operating in various frequency ranges; this is the case because the hollow central part of the traveling-wave resonator provides room for additional radiators (e.g., waveguide, horn, and rod types).
