Determination of the harmonic structure of output signals in devices with pulsed-width-modulation of the second kind
Abstract
A method is proposed for determining the spectrum of the modulated pulsed sequence in a PWM-II device without a direct solution of the transcendental equations determining the points of intersection of the modulating and reference signals. The use of Walsh functions to determine the harmonic structure of the modulated pulsed sequences makes it possible to significantly reduce the number of computations and to reduce the time of computation. The determination of the harmonic structure of the pulsed sequence according to its spectrum in the Walsh basis can easily be realized using a matrix of Fourier kernels.
