Calculation of electromagnetic fields and critical frequencies of waveguides of complex cross section
The paper describes an approach for calculating electromagnetic fields and critical frequencies of various types of waveguides of complex cross section which is based on the method of partial regions with allowance for edge singularities. The convergence of the method is investigated, and the characteristics of its numerical realization are examined. The accuracy of the results obtained is assessed along with field matching at interfaces of partial regions.
