Coherent-optical synthesis of an antenna radiation pattern with a zero in a prescribed direction
Abstract
The optical modeling method is used to examine the synthesis of an antenna radiation pattern with a zero in a prescribed direction. Theoretical and experimental results are presented on the coherent-optical synthesis of such patterns on the basis of phase-mask optical filters. The phase masks are based on acoustooptic delay lines or on thin dielectric films deposited on transparent substrates.
