Statistical characteristics of a slowwave system with random disruptions of the periodicity of the system
Abstract
The paper develops a statistical model of the slowwave system of a traveling wave tube with random fluctuations of the geometric parameters and jumplike changes of phase velocity from cell to cell. The correlation function and Wiener spectrum of the quasiperiod (the cell length as a random function of the spatial coordinate) and phase velocity are calculated. A noncanonical expansion of these random functions is presented, which makes possible their relatively simple computer simulation.
