Statistical characteristics of a slow-wave system with random disruptions of the periodicity of the system
Abstract
The paper develops a statistical model of the slow-wave system of a traveling wave tube with random fluctuations of the geometric parameters and jumplike changes of phase velocity from cell to cell. The correlation function and Wiener spectrum of the quasi-period (the cell length as a random function of the spatial coordinate) and phase velocity are calculated. A noncanonical expansion of these random functions is presented, which makes possible their relatively simple computer simulation.
