Simple and efficient preionization system for gaseous lasers
Abstract
The present pulsed gas laser preionization system requires no special electronic circuits and is of exceptional simplicity. Attention is given to this novel preionization system's application to an N2 laser. It is noted that the electrode profiles used are simpler than those previously employed, and electrode construction is subject to no construction limitations with respect to length. The efficiency of the present technique is comparable to that of existing systems.
