Charge transfer reactions of 3He in carbon at 68, 99 and 130 MeV

Fractions of equilibrium singly charged ³He ¹⁺ ions produced by ³He ²⁺ beams going through carbon targets were measured at 68, 99 and 130 MeV incident energies. The thickness dependence of the ³He ¹⁺/ ³He ²⁺ fraction was measured, which allowed to deduce the electron capture cross section. The experimental results are compared with the first and higher order Born approximation theories.
