The thermal limitation of the velocity of annular conductors under inductive axial acceleration
Abstract
A mathematical model was used to study heating processes occurring during the axial acceleration of a flat annular metallic conductor in the two-dimensional pulsed magnetic field of a single-coil inductor. The specific conductivity of the accelerated ring and the inductor during their Joule heating is calculated. The thermal limit of the velocity of the annular conductor is determined.
