Possibility of improving the accuracy of the navigational referencing of scientific space information and the prediction of satellite motion (according to results from an Intercosmos-Bulgaria-1300 experiment)
Abstract
The possibility of improving the accuracy of the navigational referencing of a scientific satellite with flight altitude of 500-2000 km is assessed for the example of the Intercosmos-Bulgaria-1300 satellite. It is shown that this accuracy can be improved by about an order of magnitude by the use of an optimal strategy for the performance and processing of trajectory measurements. In this case, the navigational-referencing error along the orbit does not exceed 2 km; while along the normal to the orbit, it does not exceed 1 km. The error estimate was made by comparing results of radio measurements with data of laser observations.
