Conducting shells in a pulsed electromagnetic field
Abstract
Topics in the theory of the shielding of pulsed electromagnetic fields are discussed. The spectral components of electromagnetic field pulses inside shells of idealized shape and arbitrary thickness are analyzed. Processes occurring inside the metallic shells under the effect of a pulsed electromagnetic field are considered for a vacuum and a conducting medium. The shielding characteristics of such shells are investigated for pulsed fields having an arbitrary time profile.
