The effect of frequency-selective fading on a noncoherent FH-FSK system operating with partial-band tone interference
Abstract
The performance of a binary noncoherent frequency-hopped-frequency-shift-keyed system operating in the presence of partial-band tone interference and transmitted over a frequency-selective Rician fading channel is derived. The probability of error for the system is derived both with and without the use of error-correction coding, and the two cases are compared on the basis of equal information rates and equal spread bandwidths.
