Depolarisation effects of metal-space-frame radomes
Abstract
An analytic method for determining the depolarization effects of a metal space frame radome enclosing a typical earth station antenna is described, which is based on thy induced field ratio hypothesis for struts which have an either circular or rectangular cross section. Incident circular polarization is assumed, although the analysis is applicable to the linear case, as well. The results of an experimental program conducted to validate analytical predictions are also described.
