Heat transfer in the turbulent flow of dissociating and vibrationally relaxing gas in a channel with rough walls
Abstract
The distribution of velocity and temperature and the concentration of mixture components as well as the heat-transfer intensity are investigated for the turbulent flow of a nonsteadily dissociating and vibrationally relaxing gas in a plane channel with rough, heat-liberating walls. The system of equations of turbulent heat and mass transfer in a plane channel is closed by the transfer equation for the total viscosity. The roughness of the wall is taken into account by modification of the mixing length in comparison with a smooth wall. Numerical solution of the system is performed using an explicit, unconditionally stable, modified Dufort-Frankel scheme. The results of calculations for a number of examples of walls with different roughness are given.
