Study on ellipticity properties of single-feed-type circularly polarised microstrip antennas
Abstract
A basic method for the design of single-feed-type circularly polarized microstrip antennas (SCPA) is discussed. An SCPA designed to operate under conditions of circular polarization is shown to produce an axial ratio below 0.5 dB at the boresight. The theoretical axial ratios agree well with the experimental values within the conventional design range.
