Periodic solutions of the problem of viscous-fluid flow past a body
Abstract
Babenko's method is used to obtain periodic solutions of viscous flow past a body, the stability loss of the steady flow being determined from the spectrum of the linearized problem. The results are related to the strange-attractor problem and to the initial boundary value problem for the Navier-Stokes equation in the case of external flow.
