CO2 gasdynamic laser with high hydrogen content in the working mixture
Abstract
Experimental results are presented on optimal parameters for the operation of a CO2 gasdynamic laser with a high volume content of hydrogen, i.e., xi(H2) = 0.4-0.5. At xi(H2) of approximately 0.4 in the initial temperature range of 1100-1250 K, gain values of 0.4-0.45/m and 0.3-0.4/m were obtained for initial pressures of 2-3 atm and 16 atm, respectively. These gain values are sufficient for the achievement of lasing.
