Multiphoton cross-section measurements with low-power cw laser-induced luminescence
Abstract
A method is presented that yields absolute multiphoton nonlinear cross-section values by comparative one-, two-, and three-photon luminescence measurements, and by utilizing low-power single-mode CW lasers. The experiments are performed on different dye solutions, and the values obtained are absolute, independent of the excitation source space-time fluctuations. The two- and three-photon cross-section experimental values are compared with previous experimental data obtained with high-power laser sources.
