Theory of the propagation of pure transverse waves along an interface between two piezoelectric media
Abstract
Shear acoustic waves are investigated in a three-layer structure consisting of two piezoelectrics separated by a thin intermediate layer. The influence of the piezoelectric effect on the phase velocity and spectrum of transverse guided-wave modes is taken into account. The problem of the propagation of gap waves in an asymmetrical parallel-plate waveguide is solved.
