Small cell drift chambers and drift chamber electronics at ISA
Abstract
The new detector systems for MPS II was developed and several custom IC's were produced which are of interest to High Energy Physics detectors. The circuit requirements were determined to achieve performance limited only by the physical processes of the detectors. The detectors reside in 5 to 10 Kg magnetic fields and must efficiently detect multibody final state events in the presence of beam levels approaching several times 10 to the sixth power per second.
