Singularity expansion method /SEM/ analysis of N arbitrarily oriented cylinders
Abstract
The singularity expansion method analysis characterizing the scattering of an electromagnetic pulse by N completely arbitrarily oriented thin cylinders will be presented. The problem will be cast in terms of an E-field type integrodifferential equation, and the Method of Moments employed to facilitate numerical investigation. Location of system natural resonances will be presented for a variety of scatterer orientations. Trajectories of these natural resonances will be presented as a function of the geometric parameters. General conclusions with respect to the number of dominate system singularities relative to the number of scatterers will be forwarded.
