A theoretical and experimental investigation of the circularly polarised elliptical printed-circuit antenna
Abstract
It is demonstrated that an elliptical printed-circuit antenna can be designed with a single simple feed from the theoretical analysis of the fields within the cavity formed by the radiator and the ground plane. Such an antenna retains the usual attractive physical characteristics of the simpler shaped disks while allowing a circularly polarized field to be produced for proper choices of eccentricity and operating frequency.
