High power output multiplexer for TV-broadcasting satellites
Abstract
The development of a 12 GHz five channel high power output multiplexer for TV-broadcast satellites is described. The maximum input power per channel is 450 W. A manifold type multiplexer made of invar was found to be the best solution. The physical layout is such that the heat generated in the resonators can be removed by means of heat pipes. Results of low and high power measurements are presented.
