Wideband high directivity microstrip couplers for microwave integrated circuits
Abstract
It is shown that loosely coupled quarter-wave microstrip directional couplers with broadband improved directivity can be obtained by a technique now in use. The technique must be altered by adding a slight capacitance between the coupled lines, but no additional computations or corrections are required. The method is applied to many prototypes at different frequencies ranging from 1 to 7 GHz.
