Optimization of the antenna field on an artificial satellite of the earth
Abstract
In the present investigation it has been assumed that all considered antennas have linear characteristics, and that the involved frequencies are different for each antenna. A distortion coefficient Z is employed as a preliminary optimization criterion in the determination of the optimum arrangement for two and three antennas. Attention is given to the determination of Z for two antennas, a specification of optimum arrangement in the case of three antennas, the optimization of an arrangement involving N antennas, an algorithm based on the use of a nongradient method, and an algorithm employing the gradient method.
