Integrated hemispherical emittances of aluminum and steel specimens in the temperature range 5-100 K
Abstract
The low-temperature integrated emittances of aluminums AO, 2024-TCh, and A999 and steels 12Kh18N10T and 304 have been studied by radiation calorimetry as a function of chemical composition and surface finish. Results are compared with experimental and theoretical data from other sources. The mean error due to the conductive flows in the thermocouple is estimated at 3-20% of the maximum measurement error and is independent of temperature and surface finish.
