Device for analysis of the gas flow in blast furnaces or shaft kilns
Abstract
Gas samples are taken by means of tubes inserted through the shaft wall into the feed. The sample tubes of stepped lengths are permanently installed in the shaft kiln within a strong, sword-shaped housing with openings in the walls for the mouths of individual tubes. Cooling water flows through the inside of the housing. Each individual tube terminates with a flat arc in an opening in the housing.
