Aircraft infrared radiation modeling
Abstract
The modeling procedure consists of two stages, related to an analysis of the physical phenomena and the task to obtain a suitable computing algorithm. The principal factors which have to be taken into account are the heat sources, the geometrical representation, the development of the jet, the radiation emitted by solids and gas, atmospheric transmission, and the effect of the background. The input data are related to the geometric description of the aircraft, the flight parameters, and the observational conditions. The obtained computer program provides information concerning the origin of the radiation and its spectral distribution. Radiation intensity data as a function of distance and angle of observation, and results in form of polar diagrams can be obtained.
