Radiation from linear electric currents above an infinite conducting corner surface
Abstract
An analysis is presented of the transverse-plane radiation pattern of a corner-reflector screen excited by linear vibrators. A model of the corner screen is presented which consists of an infinite periodic structure made up of a corner surface and phased linear currents parallel to the generatrix of the surface. The radiation pattern of an element of the periodic structure is studied on the basis of a numerical solution of the appropriate integral equation. It is shown that increasing the scanning angle to a certain value that depends on the period of the corner surface leads to an increase of power flux density in the direction of scanning.
