Simultaneous transformation of the equations of electrodynamics and motion
Abstract
The transformation of the equations of motion of a charged particle using equations of electrodynamics is employed to obtain a system of equations describing the motion of a charged medium during its interaction with an electromagnetic field; the analysis has reference to phenomena in microwave tubes. It is shown that the motion of the charged medium is completely determined by the space-charge density, and the velocity and strength of the magnetic field. The electric field strength can be excluded in the analysis.
