Theoretical analysis of the interaction of an extended electron beam with the field of a broadband stochastic signal
Abstract
Nonstationary nonlinear interaction theory is used to analyze the amplification of broadband noise in an O-type traveling wave tube. The analysis uses a temporal representation of the signal and makes it possible to study the amplification of noise with a spectrum of arbitrary width under nonlinear conditions. Numerical results are presented.
