Exact probabilistic analysis of the transformation of random shift-keying signals by adaptive systems
Abstract
Exact probabilistic relations are derived for the transformation of a binary Markovian signal by a second-order adaptive system; no assumptions are made concerning the correlation time. The adaptive system that is considered is an amplifier with automatic gain control. The present method can be used to find an exact expression for the stationary probability density of the output oscillation envelope when the envelope of the input signal is a dichotomous Markov process.
