Setting-up time of power-law spectra of relativistic electrons and plasma radiation in discrete extragalactic radio sources.
Abstract
A model is proposed for the plasma radio emission of discrete extragalactic radio sources which involves solving two nonlinear partial differential equations to determine the energy and time distribution functions for electrons and photons. A difference scheme is used to compute the parameters of the power-law spectra of the plasma electrons and photons which are particularly stable with respect to initial power-law spectrum perturbations. The results obtained are consistent with radio astronomical observations.
