Method for determining the content of certain elements in the analysis of the chemical composition of matter by X-ray fluorescence
Abstract
The paper describes a spaceborne X-ray fluorescence instrument that is capable of detecting elements on planetary surfaces and in planetary atmospheres. The characteristics of the instrument are discussed, including the concentration dependence of radiation intensity for Si and Al, energy spectra, and the instrument spectrum for the determination of argon under laboratory conditions.
