Regular Acceleration of Cosmic Rays on the Outer Solar Wind Boundary
Abstract
Consideration is given to the interactions of low-energy galactic cosmic rays with the standing shock wave at the boundary of the solar wind. Calculations are presented of the spatial distribution and spectral shape of cosmic ray particles following interaction with the shock wave, along with the spectrum of solar wind particles accelerated by the shock. It is noted that these accelerated solar wind particles may appear as the cosmic ray background recorded in interplanetary space.
