Autokorrelationsfunktion und Leistungsspektrum von amplitudenquantisiertem Gauss'schem Rauschen
Abstract
In the procedure used for calculating the power spectrum of quantized Gaussian noise, the autocorrelation function at the system output is determined first. The power spectrum is consequently obtained by means of a Fourier transformation of the autocorrelation function. The calculation of the autocorrelation function in the case of a nonlinear system can be performed with the aid of the direct method or by means of the transformation method. An employment of the direct method provides a very complex mathematical expression. The considered investigation shows that a simpler, exact solution of the problem is obtained when the transformation method is employed. The transformation method utilizes the Fourier- (Laplace-) representation of the characteristic in the formula for the autocorrelation function. The most important results of the investigation are illustrated with the aid of a simple experiment.
