Faint blue stars in the region of NGC 7000 = IC 5068-70.
Abstract
Results of a search for faint stars brighter in the ultraviolet than the visible in the region of the Cyg T1 T association are presented. The search was carried out on the basis of comparisons of direct photographic plates in the U, B and V bands, and stars were identified from the Palomar Atlas. It is suggested that certain of the objects found may correspond to white dwarfs or young stars with relatively large ultraviolet excesses. An absence of flare stars with negative ultraviolet excesses during brightness minimum is also noted.
