Speckle interferometry observations of the triple QSO PG 1115+08.
Abstract
Speckle interferometric observations of the 16.2 mag component A of PG 1115 + 08 show that it is resolved into two components, separated by 0.54 arcsec in position angle 20 deg. The data suggest that the two components are approximately equally bright and are unresolved at a resolution of approximately 0.15 arcsec. These results are consistent with those inferred from long exposure images.
